Letter From the President
Good morning SNMSHRM!
We had a wonderful planning meeting for 2016 on Saturday, January 9th. Your Board is looking forward to a great year with lots of opportunity for everyone to get involved. Volunteer Leaders are still needed, so please let me know if you would be willing to serve.
Jim Lane, President-Elect, is planning a year packed full of informative, educational, enjoyable and certifiable Chapter meetings. If you have a suggestion (or are willing to share your knowledge with the chapter), please let Jim know.
We are beginning plans for a special event this March. It will be an evening social where we can share information on our chapter with small business leaders, prospective members and members at large. Melissa, Meg and Eldelisa will be getting together specifics, so please approach one of them if you have suggestions or wish to help them with the planning.
January is a month for planning our new year, so there will be no Chapter Luncheon Meeting this month. Luncheon Meetings will resume in February at the DACC Workforce Center with a presentation from our Diversity Chair, Gail Estell. Check back later for more information and to RSVP.
I look forward to seeing you on February 11th!
Job to Career Readiness Boot Camps
Job to Career Readiness Boot Camp provided an inside track to help fill
approximately 1,000 jobs in southern New Mexico. Participants engage
in a number of sessions designed to provide valuable insight to the
application and interview process for the represented companies with job
openings. SNMSHRM is proud to be a partner in this ongoing initiative.
Our chapter is still looking for volunteer leaders. Please contact Melissa Del Ferraro, President@snmshrm.org if you or someone you know may be interested in a volunteer position.
